tuscan sun
During the Summer of 2024, I studied Fashion Merchandising in Florence, Italy. During my stay, my class and I visited a beautiful castle-turned-winery in the Tuscan countryside. The soft hills and flourishing vegetation made the winery feel surreal. I documented my visit and left with inspiration that inspired many projects.
The collection utilizes lightweight woven fabrics, keeping in mind the Tuscan heat. Every look is named after a type of flower that grows in the region. The color palette is composed of pastels, and the print pulls inspiration from the lemon trees surrounding the castle.
the inspiration behind the Iris Dress
Throughout my life, my grandmother has fondly reminisced about the clothing her mother handcrafted for her. My great-grandmother, Eugenia, designed my grandmother’s entire wardrobe, including her wedding dress. The Iris Dress was created as an ode to Eugenia and as an expression of my appreciation for the inspiration she has given me to keep designing.
